Patricia "Patsy" Maria West - Age 66, passed away April 22, 2020 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site. Born and raised in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Hannah (McDonald) Young. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Erica (Art) Surette, Cow Bay; brothers, Richard Young and Tommy Young, Glace Bay; sisters, Carol Anne (Ray) Whitmore, Brampton, and Rita (Joe) Kubat, Mississauga; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Young; niece, Tonya Young. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent Halifax, NS B3C 1C4. In keeping with Patsy’s wishes a private service will be held at St. Anne's Church, May 1, 2020, at 10am, officiated by Fr. D. Devereaux. Interment will follow immediately after at St. Anne's Cemetery. Due to the social distancing restrictions in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, attendance at both the church and cemetery will be immediate family only.
