Obituary of Chrissy Comer

Crystal Leeann Comer Glace Bay Crystal Leeann Comer also lovingly referred to as “Chrissy” passed away at the age of 42 on April 9th, 2020 at the CBRH, and was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on Dec. 30th, 1977. Crystal was talented at many things and gifted beyond measure. She had a huge heart, and always looked for the best and bringing the best out in people. Crystal was an exceptional cook and baker that she skillfully learned from watching her grandmothers and was also an excellent decorator. She was a skillful nurse who spent many times after hours staying and making her patients feel loved and cared for. But what I think most people will remember her for was her heart and humour. Crystal loved to make people smile. Crystal was kind, generous and our Angel on earth. She was first and foremost a mother. Her greatest joy was watching her son, Logan (Musial) grow into the man he has become. She always talked about how proud he made her. He was her biggest accomplishment. She was the beloved daughter to Daryl Comer; they both shared an extremely deep rooted connection as dad and daughter; a best friend to her mother Brenda (Slade) and angel daughter to Paul Dalziel. They will miss her calls, her hugs, her laughter and most importantly the precious time they got to spend together. She was the most amazing big sister to Cheryl, Jason (Allyson), Danielle (Chetan), Mitchell and Keeghan. She was known as the storyteller and our protector. We will miss her laugh, her stories, extravagant holidays and making future memories. She was Aunt Chrissy to Madison and Callie, and was a treasured niece, best friend and cousin to many. Her family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to her VON’s and her home care workers. A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Glace Bay Food Bank. “We cried when you died, we promise we will not let the tears mar all the smiles you have given us when you were alive." There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Danny Boudreau presiding.
