It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Rosalie MacDonald on March 24, 2020 at Celtic Court with her loving family by her side.
Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Flora (MacMullin) Timmons.
Rosalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, mom also enjoyed playing cards and crib. Nan loved to bake and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of KOC and the Hub Club Dart League.
Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Edward ‘Bobby’ MacDonald; sons, Joe (Louanne), Greg( Mary), Ron, and Ken (Josie); daughters, Rosanne (Frank) and Juanita (Morgan); her precious grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Curtis, Christina, Bethany, Brandon, Sarah, Hailey, Myles, Allysa, Mya and Ava; her cherished great grandchildren, Cohen, Emma and Raeden. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles and John Bernard; sisters, Theresa MacNeil, Ethel MacMillan, Margaret McNeil, Frances Melonson, Mary Hannah and Audrey Underhill, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Harvey, Myles, Gregory, Jude, Malcolm, Reg and Jackie; sister, Betty Brewer.
The family would like to thank the Palliative doctors and nurses of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and the staff of Celtic Court, with special thanks to Myrna Phillips.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau presiding. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199
