Obituary of Blanche Wilson

Blanche Alma Wilson It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our mother Blanche Wilson 75 of Glace Bay at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on March 22, 2020. Born in Glace Bay on April 10, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle (Pennell) Leeman. Blanche was a beautiful amazing angel who roamed this earth helping everyone she could. She was a nurse who worked most of her career at the Glace Bay Community Hospital. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Mom said she was the sweetest woman they have ever met. Mom loved spending time with her family. She adored her grand children and great grandchild. Mom also loved to bake and was an amazing cook. Blanche was survived by her daughters Roberta MacNeil and Shawna Wilson, sister Thelma (Joe) Melnick, special partner Wayne McBride, grand children Amanda, Bria, Kaden, Christian, Matthieu, Vienna, Jersi and great granddaughter Chloe, plus many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Blanche was pre deceased by husband Robert Wilson, brother John Leeman and long time best friend Kathleen MacDonald. Unfortunately due to the current situation with Covid 19, we will not be able to have a service or visitation at this time. However we will have visitation and a service once this pandemic is over. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses in ICU and Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital who provided the exceptional care for our mom during the last journey of her life. Words cannot describe how much we appreciated everything.
