John Stephen JR Cipak
Reserve Mines
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Stephen Jr. Cipak, age 58, on March 15, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. He was the son of the late John Sr. and Mary (Johnston) Cipak.
John worked as a security guard for several years with Walker's Security. When he wasn’t spending time with his family or friends you could always see him walking with his best friend, his dog Diesel. John also had a strong passion for wood working. He was a big man with a heart of gold, and a smile that would light up a room.
John is survived by his wife of 27 years Darlene Gabriel; four sons, Gregory (Lindsay) MacMullin, Stephen (Alicia) Cipak, Jorden (Candace) Cipak, and Devin Cipak (Christina); one daughter Ashley (Anthony) O’ Handley; two brothers, Robert (Colleen) Bungay and Wilfred Clements; one sister, Pamela (Vince) Tutty; six grandchildren Hunter, Ryder, Bailey, Olivia, Haylee and Charlotte; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff of the IMCU and the ICU unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Diabetic Association or the The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
