Obituary of Todd White

Please share a memory of Todd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Todd White – March 4, 2020 On March 4th, 2020 we had to say goodbye to a son, a brother, a father, uncle and a friend. Todd passed away peacefully on the Palliative Care floor of the Victoria General Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Todd is survived by his parents Aubrey and Mary White; brothers,Scott White (Debbie) and Troy White(Lorianne); former spouse Norma O’Quinn, son Jordan O’Quinn and daughter Alisha O’Quinn, as well as nieces, Maddison, Miah, Kaitlyn, Kassandra, and Maggie; nephews, Ben, Jack and great nephew Landon. Todd was a car and motorcycle enthusiast who loved to go fast. If he wasn’t in his car he was talking about his car and trying to figure out how to make it go faster. Those who knew Todd…knew his car. Todd also had a passion for motorcycles…..probably because they went fast too! Aside from cars, motorcycles and trying to go faster, Todd also had a knack for drawing. He would sketch and draw characters in his younger years for hours…..until he was able to go fast in cars and on motorcycles. Todd was a professional driver for various transport companies throughout his career….. He just loved to drive. School friends, car friends, bike friends and of course the Point Pleasant Park crew, there was no shortage of people who knew Todd. From the old friends we all know, to the new friends we met through Todd’s sickness who would visit - thank-you. Todd appreciated your caring visits and warm wishes, phone calls and texts and our family appreciated them as well. Friendships were very important in Todd staying positive throughout his long journey. As much as Todd did not like to be in the hospital during his illness, he gained a new appreciation for the staff that cared for him. From his first hospital stay to his last, he made friends, memories and lasting impressions with the people who cared for him. Todd was especially appreciative of the staff on the Palliative Care unit of the Victoria General Hospital. On a number of occasions Todd shared his appreciation by saying this about the Nurses, LPN’s and CCA’s that work on 7A “it’s not just a job for them – they care”. Our family would like to express our gratitude for the wonderful attention Todd received while he was with you on your watch at the QEII and on 7A, with a special shout out to Dawn and Karen – Thank-you all! You may have gone too fast, and left us too early this time, but you now have the freedom to turn the key and hammer down. Safe travels on your new journey and until we meet again…… Please join us for a Celebration of Life Saturday March 14, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. at TJ Tracey Funeral Home 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, NS.(902)835-4212. Come for a minute or stay for the afternoon, share some stories, memories and have a bite to eat – Todd’s wishes.
