Obituary of Alisha Catherine Fukala

Alisha Catherine (Somerton) Fukala Geary, NB/ Glace Bay, NS It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of our dear, daughter, sister, wife, granddaughter and friend Alisha Fukala, age 26, on September 09, 2018 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Celeste MacKay and Dwayne Somerton. Alisha was employed as an early childhood educator in New Brunswick, her joy and passion was being around children. Alisha enjoyed anything Disney and loved spending time with Ryan, whom she loved dearly, and her sister, her friend Kristen. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Ryan Fukala; her parents, Celeste (Donnie) and Dwayne (Yvonne); her sister, Kristen; step-father, Steve Fraser; her mother and father-in-law, Patricia and Gary Fukala; her sister-in-law, Ashlee; brother-in-law, Shane; special Aunt and Uncle Kathy and Piper; grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her loving fur babies, Colby, Bailey and Scuttle. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Keith (Myrna) MacKay, great-grandmother, Olive Somerton and Uncle, Terry Wilson. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place 1 p.m. Saturday 15, 2018 with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating both taking place at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Highland St., Glace Bay. Reception to follow at T.J. Tracey.
