Stephen J. Brown Reserve Mines It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Stephen J.Brown at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on January 31, 2020. Born in Dominion, NS he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Daley) Brown. Stephen was employed with Nova Scotia Power for over 20 years. He is survived by his companion of 20 years, Sheila Willett; two sons, Michael, Alberta, Daniel, Newfoundland; 3 stepdaughters, Michelle, Charlene (D.J.), Jolene (Marcel); two brothers, Mickey (Gerry), Dale (Brenda), brother-in-law, Enzo; two sisters, Ann (Terry), Chickie (Francie), sister-in-law, Helen. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren and step grandchildren, Lucius, Mekayla, Reece, Jersey and Rowan; as well as many nieces and nephews. Stevie will be greatly missed by ‘Dad’s girl’ Rosie. Besides his parents, Stevie was predeceased by his brother Alan, sister Lynn and stepson Shawn. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). A reception will follow the service.
