Tim Donovan Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Tim ‘Big Tim’ Donovan, 82, of Glace Bay, passed away on January 28, 2020. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Jim and Monica (Bruce), stepmother Elsie (Anderson). Tim worked as the Service Manager for Elecrolux until he opened his own business Tim's Quality Vacuum Service. He loved engaging with the public until the day he retired. He enjoyed singing in the choir and was a member of the Coal Town Chorus. Tim was involved with CID were he was President for 2 years and was involved with Affirmative Action. Tim is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Turner) of 52 years; son Tim Jr (Marie), daughter Sherri (Ken); niece Laurie(Allan) loved as a daughter; grandchildren, Adam (Danielle), Andrew (Lindsay), Brandon, Patrick, Sean (Dev); great grandchildren Jaxon, Autumn, Isla, Leighton, Colton, Eric, Elija; brothers, Jack (Pearl), Wishie (Alice), Patty, Normie; sisters Dolores (Sam), Helen (Jerry), Theresa (Gord) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sherley (Alex). When Mom asked Dad if he Loved her he always said More than you will ever need or use. Memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish, Seaview St., on Friday Jan 31 at 10 a.m. with Father Norman presiding.. Burial will follow at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Glace Bay. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Lung Association (lung.ca).
