It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Mary Myrtle Jeffrey at age 68 on Monday, January 27th, 2020. Born in Arichat, Cape Breton on June 25th, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Priscilla Jeffrey (Legacy) and the late Joseph Jeffrey. Mary loved her faith, poetry, music and family gatherings as well as singing in the church choir.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sisters Donna Jeffrey, Linda Brown (Willie) of Timberlea; brothers Ronald (Carolyn) and Jerome (Cecelia) of Timberlea. Also her nephews BJ, Terry, Ryan, Corey, Bradley, Eric and niece Jenna; great nephews Alex, Isaac and great niece Abby. The family would like to thank all the healthcare professionals at the QEII Hospital for their great care and kindness, especially the nurses on 7.2 IMCU, Northwood Home Care, VON, Dr. Scovil and Dr. Mallory. Also, her loving friends Joanne, Peter, Nancy and many more. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Lung Associaton. Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb 1st at 2pm in T. J. Tracey’s funeral home chapel, 71 McQuade Lake Cres., 902-835-4212.

A private interment will take place in Louisdale cemetery, Cape Breton at a later date.
