Obituary of Dorothy Sheila LaPierre

LaPierre, Dorothy S., age 90 of Grand Desert passed away January 24th, 2020 peacefully at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital Musquodoboit Harbour. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of the late Ellen (Nellie) Kennedy & Robert Purcell. Dorothy loved bingo and senior’s bus trips. She is survived by sons Michael (Debbie), Richard (Elizabeth) both of Grand Desert; daughters Catherine (Mrs. Dan Robitaille) Dartmouth, Christine (Mrs. David Wolfe) Grand Desert; sister Madeline McGinn; 8 grand children, 9 great grand children. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland; grandson Jason; brothers Bobby & Jackie. Cremation has taken place, no visitation by request. There will be a grave side service held at St. Anselms Parish Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.
