In her early years she worked in the fishing industry and later in life pursued her dream of being a nurse. Mom retired from Seaview Manor in 2007, where she was a dedicated LPN. She took extreme pride in her family and was always there to lend a hand, be a shoulder to cry on or be a listening ear. We would like to take this time to thank the entire Palliative care team, VON, New Waterford homecare, the staff on 3 south at the Glace Bay General Hospital, EHS and Dr. James MacLean family physician. A very special thank you to Betty Ann Lynk her lifelong friend. I know mom truly enjoyed your company. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center or Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. A private family service will take place at a later date.
