Margaret Theresa Le Blanc
Glace Bay
April 11, 1926-January 5, 2020
Heavens’ choir just got a little sweeter! Every family has their brightest light, the foundation that keeps them strong, today it is with the heaviest of hearts we have lost ours ,as Margaret passed away peacefully on the An Cala Unit surrounded by those who loved her so much…
Born in Tower Road, Margaret grew up in a house filled with love, laughter and music, it was very important to her that she passed this on to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Music and singing was her passion, one that she shared her entire life.
After the sudden passing of her husband Pete, Margaret was now a young widow who took over the family business (Pete’s Dairy) while still raising her family. She maintained the business until finally closing its doors in 1987. Through the years while running the store she formed many relationships that meant so much to her, always known as a true lady, with the kindest soul who always put others first, right to the very end.
There were many things Margret loved in this life but her husband Douglas and her family came first and fore-most, she will be dearly missed by each and every one of us.
She is survived by her loving husband Douglas LeBlanc; her daughters, Marlain (John Macleod), Margaret Jean ‘Bay’, (Melvin Daley), Bernice and son Tommy; stepchildren, Charnel (Claudia), Doug Jr.(Estelita) and Billie LeBlanc; daughters-in-law, Sherry MacIntyre and Loretta MAcIntyre.
Grandmother to Nadara, Charmain, Peter, Clifford, Chris, Melanie, Peter, Tommy, Ryan, Ashton, Michelle and Corey. She was also survived by great grandchildren Brittany, Hailey, Victor, Broden, Abbie, Jordon, Ethan, Tyler, Drake and Marley. As well as her great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews .
Margret was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Margret Picup; first husband, Peter Macintyre; her infant daughter Agnes Marie; daughter Karen Mac Neil; sons, Mick and Adie MacIntyre; grandson, Darrell MacLeod; brothers Buddy, Joe and Hughie Picup and sisters Sarah Mac Mullin and Mary Casey.
