Obituary of Daphne Irene Gomes

Age 68, passed away peacefully in Hospice Halifax on December 26, 2019 after a long illness. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Renie, Cindy (David), and Kelly (John); brothers, Victor (Theresa) and John (Sharon); nieces, Jessica and Kaley; and nephew, Colin. She was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Irene; brother, Claude; and brother-in-law, Nelson. Daphne was retired from a long career with Royal Bank of Canada, where she made many lifelong friends. A celebration of her life will be held January 3, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. in Earl Francis Spryfield Legion, 7 Sussex St. By Daphne's request, donations to Hospice Halifax are greatly appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice Halifax and QEII Health Sciences Centre for the loving care they gave Daphne.
