Jean was a Member of the Dinner Theatre troop at our parish. We did five different plays and she was in them all. I believe in two plays Jean played two different parts so she had to change her costume. What fun we had. We were belly laughing at practices and the performance. Jean gave it her all. This was called Hillbilly Wedding.

I just returned from the beautiful Celebration of Life service for Jean Drover. So many memories shared of Jean. Jenn shared that secret of a little girl’s trauma held so long in Jean’s heart and then it was transformed into the stories of this amazing woman. Jean was one of the actors in the Dinner Theatre Troop with me and my husband. What fun we had. Jean, you are missed but never forgotten. Thank you dear friend for the laughs and the love. Jean has recently been, and will continue to be, missed on the pickleball courts in Milford. I had many wonderful conversations with Jean as we sat waiting to play. She was such a nice lady.

Rennie, Jennifer, Stephen and Michael, your mom was one of the best. I had the privilege of working with your mom at CWJM and at Wabush clinic and no better nurse could be found. Her kindness and compassion was shown to all and her smile lit up a room. We also spent time with your mom and dad in Sunnyside and enjoyed more than one jiggs dinner cooked on the patio by your dad in Clarenville. Lots of great memories. She will be dearly missed but will remain always in our heart.God bless!

Jean and her family came into our lives in 1992 when they moved to Pasadena and we became friends. She and I were business partners for 12 years and through it all remained very close friends and my soul mate. Jean saw the positive in everyone and was a friend to many.
She will be dearly missed by Ernie and I but will be forever in our hearts.

We certainly do not know why such good and caring people like Jean are taken so early but perhaps it is because they are needed in heaven, because of who they are. Our lost here on earth is heaven’s gain. Good night sweet Jean. You will be sorely missed by your family and by all the people who were fortunate enough to have known you.

Heaven has gained what we've all lost. What a beautiful soul so many are going to meet. Her passions were shared by many; knitting, pickleball and her love of people, being just a few. Jean, the room was always brighter with you in it. Love you, dear friend. Until we meet again, and we will.

So sorry to hear about Jean’s passing. I really enjoyed playing pickleball with her. She always had a smile on her face and I loved listening to her Newfoundland stories. She will never be forgotten in the pickleball world. She touched so many people. Always cherish her memories. RIP dear Jean.

So sorry for the world's loss of a lovely lady. I always said if anyone wanted to meet a true newfoundland it would be in the sweet lady of Jean. Her expression and ways were truly pure...the world will miss her for sure.

To Rennie and Family
So shocked to hear of Jean's passing. So happy to have spent time with her in June at the Grace Hospital Alumni dinner. For 3 years we lived together in residence from 1964 to 1967. We spent time together at reunions in later years and I thoroughly enjoyed spending those times together.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your grief.

Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. And we have lost a wonderful friend. Playing cards will never be the same without Jean to keep score. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest easy with God and the angels, sweet lady.

Q: What was Daphne really good at?
A: Its so hard to narrow this question down to just one thing. What really stands out about Jean is her loving thoughtfulness. She didn't know me very well, yet she bought me soups and sweets on numerous occasions. When I was sick, she brought me a prayer blanket that I will cherish forever. She was probably the most genuinely kind person I ever met. How lucky is her family to have had such a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother and more. Rest peacefully dear Jean
