“It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Bruce Campbell, 66, Bible Hill Nova Scotia. Bruce passed peacefully on September 14th 2024 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax after a battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Multiple Myeloma. Born in Glace Bay, Bruce was the son of the late Ida (Anntok) and William Campbell. Bruce enjoyed time with family and sports, primarily baseball and hockey. Bruce was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians and San Francisco Giants. Bruce also throughly enjoyed travelling to watch his son play hockey. Bruce always dedicated his time to other people, most often through coaching or catching up at a local rink. Bruce spent the majority of his working career at BWXT Canada before moving back east to retire. Along with time at the rink, he always enjoyed family get togethers and spending special holidays surrounded by family and friends. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of thirty three years, Paulette (Pethick) and his adored son, Shayne (Holly). Bruce is also survived by his sister, Nellie (Butch) of Cambridge, Ontario; his brother, Bill (Betty) of Antigonish, Nova Scotia; mother-in-law, Shirley (late Allan Pethick) and the apple of his eye, his one granddaughter, Maisie. Besides his parents; Bruce was also predeceased by his sisters, Jackie Evely and Betty Kachurowski, both of Glace Bay. By request of Bruce and the family there will be no visitation or funeral and cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the PSP Society of Canada or Myeloma Canada.”
