I remember when I met Bruce, it was my first time attending a huge family BBQ.
Bruce was so kind and welcoming, with his sense of humour and his gentle way.
Though Bruce may have been taken from us too soon, his spirit will forever live on in the memories we cherish and the love we shared. We’ll miss you Bruce ❤️

Bruce will be missed greatly, he touched the lives of a lot of people. It doesn’t matter how well you knew him he always left a great impression with his positivity, smile and jokes. I was always excited to see him at family get togethers or dinners at BP and chat everything baseball, horses and hockey.
Paulette, Shayne, Holly and Maisie our thoughts are with you, as Bruce was proudest of his family.
Rest in peace uncle Bruce.

The world has lost a very kind and humble man that was thoughtful and respectful to all. He lived his life for his family and we had the pleasure of sharing a trip to PEI with him last summer where he showed his passion and knowledge of harness racing, championing and educating us on the Cape Breton horses and jockeys. Bruce was often quiet, but he always spoke with meaning and conviction. We will miss seeing him at the rink and in his home, but our memories will continue on through our conversations and time spent with Paulette and Shayne and their families.

Q: How would you describe Bruce to someone who had never met them?
A: Our family agrees that Bruce was one of the most friendly & genuine guys you could meet.
He always had a smile & warm hug or handshake for my Mom, Dad & myself. He would always be genuinely interested in how you were doing & never failed to make welcoming conversation.
Without a doubt, Paulette, Shayne and most recently, Maisie, were his pride & joy. Their pictures together always spoke volumes of the love they all had for one another.
We are going to miss him dearly at family functions but our memories & his spirit will live on through his loving wife, son & granddaughter.
Thoughts of love,
Uncle Ronnie & cousins Michelle & Tara

Rest in peace Bruce! I so wish we all had more time together but I am forever grateful that you were here for Maisie’s first year. I know Maisie will treasure the photographs and videos she has with you forever. I know Shayne will make sure that she grows up knowing your love of hockey and baseball (apologies in advance if you have to watch down on her inherit my athletic abilities). I’m so happy that you were able to see pictures of her riding her first pony.
Love and miss you
Forever thumbs up ❤️

Rest in peace Uncle Bruce! I will always have great memories of family events, dinners at BP, or just hanging out with Shayne in our younger years with you driving us to the water park, or picking us up from the bar in later years. All were made much better by your jokes, kindness and conversation. We are so glad Atlas got to meet his great uncle Bruce, and that you were able to attend our big day in Ottawa in 2022.
We are thinking of Paulette, Shayne, Holly and Maisie- and know that Bruce will always be with you, and may all the good memories help you forward.
RIP Bruce- keep your stick on the ice and your eyes on your fries.
Love Shawn, Jessica, and Atlas

Dear Bruce
You were all we could ask for in a brother-in-law. Thank you for being Paulette's soulmate in life.
Even in pain and suffering, you found strength to carry on for Maisie's first year of life and to be there for your family. You were always such a caring and kind person. This showed in your true love for your family, friends, hockey, baseball and your passion for the horse races.
You are now at peace, but our memories of you will live on in our hearts and thoughts for always. We will forever watch over Paulette, Shayne, Holly and Maisie for you.
Sending love and big hugs to you, dear Bruce, until we all meet up again. You will be missed.
Love you Paulette, Shayne, Holly and Maisie.
Love always, Kim, Dave & family, xo

Dearest Paulette and Shayne
We were deeply saddened to hear about Bruce’s passing.
There are so many fond memories of Bruce during our years together with the Cambridge Hawks AAA hockey team both on and off the ice. He was an excellent coach and taught the boys so much about team play, respect for each other and the game itself. Bruce was a kind gentle man who only wanted to bring out the best in each and every player.
With deep love and affection for Bruce we will miss him dearly.

Dad, I don’t even know where to start. From the time I was born right up until the moment you left us you were my role model and my best buddy. I am going to miss our daily conversations about how our days were and about sports. Specifically about the Habs and Giants. I am going to miss your thumbs up and constant smiles even when you were going through so much, you never let it bring others down. Dad, I will always cherish those moments travelling to hockey practice or the baseball field, what I wouldn’t do for one more of those days. I will always remember the great times we had over the years from you teaching me how to hold a baseball bat, how to swim, playing road hockey, and trying to convince me not to become a goalie. I will always remember the time you spent with me on nights I couldn’t sleep and how you never complained once about taking me to early morning practice. I promise to pass on all your life lessons, and how you always dedicated time to others even when you were going through so much. Thank you for fighting so hard to spend the first year of Maisie’s life with us. I promise to teach her all of the life lessons you taught me. There won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t think about you dad. Until we meet again, I love you forever best buddy ❤️

Paulette & Shayne, please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. Though my acquaintance with Bruce was brief, his warmth and sense of humor made a lasting impression. His constant smiles and jokes brightened the office, and it was evident how deeply he loved his family and cherished sports. Bruce was clearly a devoted husband and father. May the memories of his joyful spirit bring comfort and strength to you in the days ahead. Sending you heartfelt thoughts and wishing you strength during this challenging time.
