Uncle Ken, I will miss your fantastic cadence and wit as an adept storyteller. There was little lull in conversation when you were in the room, as you seemed to always find something interesting to chat about. I attribute that to the depth of your knowledge, as you never stopped learning. I was always impressed to hear of the new book you were reading whether it was about the American civil war, trans-Atlantic crossings in wooden ships, or ancient history. Your desire to learn more, even into advanced age was very inspiring and likely what kept you sharp as a tack! As others have said, you were a great teaser. I remember when I used to go to your house often as a child, we’d sit down in the basement with Kenny and watch VHS recordings of movies like Rambo, or Missing in Action that Kenny had taped off of tv broadcasts. Ill always fondly remember going to your house yearly on Boxing Day, where you’d have a tree in your basement that was sprayed with fake snow and covered with garland and tinsel, the true epitome of a classic Christmas tree. I probably feel the same as many in that Covid lockdowns and social distancing/isolating, really hurt social relationships. We used to see you for dinners, and on holidays, but that was disrupted and never really got back on track once life started to become normal again. I wish I’d seen you more in the last few years, and if I’d seen you one last time I probably would have said, tell me a story, Uncle Ken.

Ken was the type of guy that would always lend a hand as he did to me in fashioning a rec room in our first home. He really only knew me as the guy that married his niece (Mary Anne) but he jumped right in and lent his expertise that was very much appreciated. He was a great guy and a fine dinner guest in later years. We will miss him.

Uncle Ken. I'll always remember how you teased me that you were going to cut my thumb off if I didn't stop sucking on it! You had a great sense of humor and I always loved spending time at your house with aunt Katie.
Rest easy. I hope you have been reunited with the love of your life. Until we meet again.

To attest to Uncle Ken's driving abilities. On our way home from snowmobiling in Cape Breton, Uncle Ken driving with Rick and I as passengers. We were towing
a double snowmobile trailer with our sleds . On the 102 we encountered freeing rain and black ice, the roadway quickly turned to a skating rink. We could feel the truck and trailer slightly swaying as the rubber lost grip with the road. Yet Uncle Ken did not panic. He stayed calm and kept everything under control as if it were a summer day. I'll never forget that day, for a lesser driver the outcome would have been different.

Dad if at my life's end I am only half the man you were, I will consider my life a successful one.
Thank you for all the kindness and always being there when I needed you.
Because of you I developed a passion for hockey and cars. You were much more than a father to me. I am so fortunate to have you as my father and best friend.
Having you as my father despite your modest economic means made me the richest man in the world, for the riches I obtained from you were honesty, truthfulness, loyalty and morality.
Rest easy now for you are in the arms of Mom.
Love you always....son Kenny....XOXOXO

Uncle Ken, there was more than once that you came to my rescue, but the one that always is the first I share, involved a 1976 Jeep, a frozen marsh and my stupidity for trying to cross it. You and Rick came to my rescue, there was some swearing involved but you got me out of the jam I had created for myself! Uncle Ken you made a huge difference in my life, thank you, love you, will miss you.

You are Rick ey are in my thoughts and my prayers I love you both cousins...... Janet & Rick
