I knew Ken from an early age. Over the years and because we both moved we only interacted occasionally through sports until
High school when we reconnected. I moved away right after high school again.
I was very fortunate to have been a friend and always tried to connect when I was home .
Ken left an amazing impression on everyone he met. I never met a person that didn’t think Ken was a standup guy.
He was so talented and excelled at everything he did , especially at making people feel comfortable around him.
I will miss his smile, but I will never forget it. Keith Furlotte

My condolences to Leslie and his family. His obituary described him perfectly. I worked with Kenny for many of those years in the Correctional Centres. He used his great sense of humour to diffuse many tense situations and was well respected by not only his peers but by the offenders. That is not an easy task. They knew his smile and compassion was genuine. He always had an ear to listen and made time to "chat"
It was very clear he loved his family and always talked "bragged" about Leslie, Lyndsay, Michael and Christopher. He was truly a very proud father.
At work he was quick with a joke and at the receiving end of a few good pranks, which he took in stride. Oh my! How he would laugh after. His laugh and his great smile would always make a person feel special when you talked with him.
Fondly remembered and may he rest in peace!

Leslie, Lyndsay Michael and Christopher:
I am so incredibly saddened to learn of Ken's passing. I remember the first time I met him, he was a waiter at Peddler's pub where I frequented for Lunch. He was always smiling and was thrilled to tell us Leslie was pregnant with twins. And then he worked for many years with Bill at the Correctional Center. When I think of Kenny, I think of his radiant smile and shining eyes. My heart hurts for your family. Please know I am sending my heartfelt condolences and keeping you all in my prayers. Heaven is a better place with Kenny in it. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dear Leslie, Lyndsay, Michael and Christopher,
Nothing I can say will take away your heartache, but I will try to express my love and respect for the man that was your loving husband and father. He adored you all and was so proud of you. He was a dear friend and I will always remember him with a smile.
We all shared many happy times together, in fact we were inseparable "Weekend Warriors" before the kids were born and for many years during pregnancies and as parents. We were not just friends we were extended family!! The two Kenny's had their own language and they were entertaining to say the least!
His infectious smile and sense of humour was a gift to everyone! His talent for music and entertaining was second to none! He never came to our house without his guitar and we spent many nights singing along and enjoying his renditions of Elvis! I can close my eyes and see him now.
To his loving children:
His amazing personality will live on through you. He was an inspiration to all, and faced challenges with tremendous strength and determination. He taught us all valuable lessons and may you look back on your precious memories and find peace in knowing that your father raised an amazing person!
To my sweet, sweet friend Leslie:
Your love story is like no other. Someone who shared so much life with you will always be part of you. Bonds like yours are forever.
Please take time to care for yourself. I hope that you find some comfort in knowing that you are loved and Brad and I are here for you and ready to offer a shoulder to lean on whenever you need it.
Here's a few photos of happy times and beautiful memories of our trip to Spain and Morocco in 1985 and fun times at the cottage in Malagash.
Kenny was an extraordinary man and his legacy will live on through the wonderful memories he gave to all of us.
With Love,
Linda & Brad

Sitting on the stoop, eating popsicles, and listening to Kennie sing his heart out…that visual will sustain me! So many years of summer visits to Halifax to see the Browns in our youth…always fun times. In later years we visited less frequently but always cherished any contact with Kennie -he was for me a real hero never letting MS destroy who he was at his core…a real gentleman and a genuinely good human being. He is a key figure in our extended family.
Love to all -
