WITTSTOCK, Yvonne- Age 74, of Halifax, passed away on Monday August 12, 2024 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late Marilda and William Shiers.
Yvonne worked at Royal Bank for 15+ years. Then worked at C.I.B.C, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed dancing, especially the jive. Took lessons as well as helping others in her class learn. She loved seaside FM 105.9 and was a regular caller into the station. Her love for cards and card games was shared with her mother, daughter and her Norm.
She is survived by her partner, Normand Ouellet of 31 years; daughter, Tracey Wittstock Mohr; brother, Walter Shiers; sister, Nancy Lee Larder; 5 grandchildren, Brodey Mohr (Emily), Ethan Mohr, Gabriel, A.J., and Izzy.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists where visitation will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2024 from 10am-11am followed by the Funeral at 11am in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the many care providers Yvonne had on her multiple stays on 8.4 in the QEII, her good friend Wendy and her Neighbours Janet and Joe.
As I sit in Heaven and watch you everyday, I try to let you know with signs I never went away. I hear you when you are laughing, and watch you as you sleep. I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep.
