Danny, Mabbie and all Billie's family, its with heartfelt sadness and tears to hear of Billie's death. It hit me hard to know another one of my best neighbours has passed on. Memories of childhood friends carry you through life and are never forgotten. Billie was a great friend and a nice friendly guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his brothers who I treasured and his family. As a father you can not replace you will have to gently grieve his passing to get through a place where peace will come but the emptiness will slowly take its time. We all grieve at different times and never really know when the grieving will rear its ugly head. Life has changed not ended. Knowing Billie, I am sure he will want you to carry on and be good to one another. God bless you as you go through this very sad time in your lives. love and hugs

I am so sad to hear of the passing of your Father Billie . He was my direct supervisor in the produce section of Sobeys #9 Store on Sterling Road in Glace Bay. He taught me many things about Produce and most importantly though about life and wise choices and careers. I worked with him during high school and for three years after finally joining the RCMP for 32.5 years. We kept in contact over the years and I respected his privacy.
