James was known as Dad, and Jimmy. He devoted his life, with his mom (Edna) by his side to raise his children, after he lost the love of his life and mother to his kids at a very young age. In this short time Jimmy and Diana also lost a set of twins (named James and Diana) soon after birth whose lives have never been forgotten.
James, Jimmy, Dad, Uncle, ol’man and Grand Dad. Grand Dad, being the most commonly used name, called by many.
He will be remembered as independent, stubborn, a man of many words and someone who wasn’t afraid to tell his story. He never left you guessing as he would tell you exactly what he needed. His scooter gave him the freedom of Halifax, along with risky, and funny stunts.Jimmy had many tales about the Halifax shipyards, driving forklifts, and his nine lives. We will remember his sly laugh along with his quirky side grin when being bad.
His “I love you” will be greatly missed.
Let’s celebrate his life at TJ Tracey‘s funeral home 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Beechville, N.S, B3S 1C4.
