My deepest sympathy to the family of James Mason.
My name is Patricia Mason and I grew up in Tangier,
Halifax County .
My ancestors date back to 1749 when the founding of Halifax happened.
My father’s third generation back grandfather ,
Lieutenant Charles Mason was with the Edward Cornwallis crew .
He was a surveyor and helped set up the streets of Halifax.
His son was the person who , by sea , travelled 60 miles north east of there to Waspageek later named Tangier.
The property has been in that Mason family ever since and is where I grew up .
What I would like to know is —- I wonder if we are related ?

My fathers name was also James Mason and several
relatives in our family were named after him.
