Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and the joyous hustle and bustle of raising two children.
For years he was lead singer in various bands in Newfoundland and after he moved to Nova Scotia in 1999 along with his brother-in-law Bill May they formed the band Chain and Anchor which played traditional Newfoundland Irish and maritime music with a bit of country and rock and roll thrown in.
He was an avid reader always seeking knowledge and had a special interest in history and current events. He loved crosswords and watching any kind of sporting events and was considered an excellent cook who always enjoyed cooking for his wife and any one that would stop by for a visit.
