So sorry to read about George’s passing today, our deepest condolences. I met George a few times over the years, he was such a kind, gentle man. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. I thought about you many times since our days at Eatons, wondering how you were doing on the Eastern shore. May he rest in peace .

My mother, Phyllis Doyle, worked with George for years at the Bedford Post Office. As a teenager I was also privileged to work summers there. Mom had great respect for him and would never think of calling him "George" but always " Mr. Ehler". He was unfailingly kind and thoughtful- a truly lovely man.
