It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Fredrick Joseph Jamieson (56) on February 27th, 2024, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Glace Bay, Fred was the son of Fred and Sharon (Clarke) Jamieson, and husband of Carrie (Dupe)Jamieson. He will be missed by his son, Adam Jamieson (Katie), his pride and joy. Fred will also be missed by his sister, Carla Jamieson and brother Clark Jamieson (Rose) and many other family, friends, and great neighbors with whom he adored completely.
Fred was predeceased by a sister in infancy Denise Jamieson; his paternal grandparents Richard and Lena Jamieson; his maternal grandparents Herbert and Catherine Clarke; as well his in-laws William and Theresa Dupe.
Fred enjoyed a long-fulfilled career as General Manager of Wendy’s Restaurant in which he was employed his entire career and where he met and kept countless great friends over the years. Fred appreciated many summer days spent with his family and friends in his favorite community of Tablehead on his front deck socializing. Later in life, Fred looked forward to several camping trips during the summer, where he connected with numerous great friends.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay,NS 902-849-4199.
As per Fred's wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to extend many thanks to the staff at the Cape Breton Cancer Center, Glace Bay Emergency Dept., Cape Breton Regional Emergency Dept., and Intermediate Care Unit, as well as Dr. Mark Ellerker, Dr. Phail, Dr. Zwicker and Dr. Burns for their care and compassion.
