My deepest condolences to my brother-in-law Terry, my sister, Joan, my nieces Rachael and Mary and to all the members of the Currie family. Like my sister Moira, while it has been many, many years since I have seen “Mrs. Currie” the impression that she left is indelible. Her kindness, warmth, generosity, and the experience of her good cooking rest within me. The fact that my memories of her have remained in my heart these many years speaks to the warmth and grandeur of her spirit.

When I was young my sister Joan and her husband Terry would take us to Havre Boucher, where we would visit the remarkable Mrs. Corrina Currie. While the words fade, how she made us feel remains a strong memory. She exuded caring, warmth, patience, and showed compassion to all. May all the warm memories of her bring comfort to the family, and all who loved her.

She was an amazing lady who loved to have us visit during our Halloween stops … she was fondly called “The fudge lady” by Autumn, Maeve & Xavier. Clifford grew up near her and enjoyed many of her sweet treats and conversations. I enjoyed visits to her house with Clifford as well. She was a person whose kindness and laugh were heartwarming qualities. She was the epitome of strength having endured what no mother should. Our love and prayers to her family and friends who will miss this remarkable lady! Love Clifford & Adele Bennett & family

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Corrina just a few years ago after her family discovered our relationship as half sisters. There was absolutely no doubt of the love and respect shown between Corinna and all her family. I felt honoured to be included in the family gathering. To all of Corrina’s family: I pray that your loving memories comfort you and bring you peace and strength during this sad time of sorrow and in your future. Love to you all. Shirlene

Mary,
My condolences on your loss. Although I did not have the pleasure to know your mither, by all accounts she was a beautiful lady on the inside and out. A kind and generous lady who will be mised by many.
May your mother rest in eternal peace well-earned.

Condolences to the family. Corrina indeed was a great cook and crafter. She also catered to local wedding dinners in the 70’s. and she catered to ours, and I use to work for her a lot at the dinners and also worked at her restaurants. She was a very kind and grateful lady. RIP Corrina.

I first remembered Corrina when she owned her restaurant in Auld Cove.We were always welcomed in her business and her homemade meals were a delight to have. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and the conversations lead us ,to laughter most times during our visit.Later in life ,I had the opportunity to be a small part of her life as one of her caregivers in the Nursing Home.We would chat, as she knew where I came from so we converse on many occasions on different topics. She always enjoyed knowing someone from her hometown.Although our time together was short ,as she moved to another unit in the Nursing Home. She was a strong lady who endured many hardships,a lady who gave so much kindness and love.
