Please share a memory of Lewis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lewis Turner, 95, Passed away January 20th peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born Sept 30 in Bedford, NS where he happily lived his whole life.
Lewis is survived by his daughter Ann MacDonald, son John, daughter in law Judy, granddaughter Jade and grandson Joseph Falls (Megan Reeves), Nieces Colette Malo (Nelson) and Susan Bilek, and the many members of the Coneen family. Predeceased by the love of his life June, sisters Reta and Bet, and parents Betty and John.
Retiring from MT&T after 38 years of service, Lewis dedicated himself to the Bedford community as a volunteer firefighter, a volunteer of the Scott Manor House, a proud member of the Bedford United Church community and just putting a smile on the face of anyone he would meet. As a self proclaimed “simple country boy” he loved going on hunting and fishing trips with his friends, and long drives with often no destination. Aside from spending time with his family, his second greatest passion was his nature photography and being able to share his view of the world with as many people as possible.
Service will be held at Bedford United Church on February 7th at 1pm, with Rev. Katie Aven officiating, with a reception to follow. Family flowers only.
