I just learned of John’s passing and I offer my deepest condolences to his family. I met John when I volunteered at the Miner’s Museum and then again at the Savoy Theatre. We had many great chats and I loved listening to his stories. He was a real gentleman and he will be missed.

Johnnie Mac was a terrific man. Always had a smile and a joke on hand. He was a great mentor and wonderful co-worker. I had the privilege of working with him at the TTC many a year until I retired. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and all who knew him. May RIP. He will never be forgotten.

Many many years of working with John at the TTC in streetcars. He was a great man, always there to help try to explain waybills and crew guides to the newbies(that's me!) He will be greatly missed by all who knew him! Rest in peace John, my deepest condolences and prayers to his family and friends.❤️

I could not agree more Naomi!! While training there were Operators who I cringed when I saw in the Division with trainees in tow, not so with John. He was welcoming, positive and always helpful to our new Employees. You can take solace in the fact that John had a positive impact in our workplace and his approach to his job was a role model to all to follow.
