Obituary of Louis Morrissey

Louis Morrissey, age 84, of Halifax, NS passed away Thursday December 14th, 2023 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of Edward and Irene Morrissey. Louis worked for many years with OTIS Elevator and was a long-standing member of the IEC Local 125. He really did not retire, just moved his focus to other activities to keep him busy. He enjoyed working a small business which kept him active along with meeting new people. He also enjoyed visiting with friends at the garage of his coffee club. He brought laughter into every situation. Even in his final days he managed to bring laughter to those around him. He will be missed by family and friends. Louis is survived by his sons, Michael (Anita), Brian (Tina), Jason (Shawna); daughter, Suelle (Jason) Stewart; grandchildren, Matthew (Tera), Nicholas (Jane), Katlyn, Samuel, Bailey, Izaak; great-grandchild, Stetson, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Morrissey (Peach). A celebration of life will be held December 20, 2023 at 1:00pm, in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, NS B3S 1C4. Reception to follow service. Interment at a later date.
