Oh Lou…. What comes first & foremost in our minds is… kind, generous, gentle, this larger than life man. The world was a better place having a man in it like Lou Morrissey!
We first met Lou and Bev when we bought our first little house on James St.
Santa Lou, and his annual trips to see our kids Christmas Eve.
Then losing the love of his life, Bev. It broke our hearts But go on he must, and that he did…. Never forgetting her or talking about her.
We moved outside of Mahone Bay & still we ran into Lou out for a ride on his bike.
Always lots to talk about. He was going to come look us up, but you know how it goes…. Life gets in the way.
We take great comfort knowing that Lou is once again with his Bev… happy again at last.
Must be quite a reunion… lots of friends & family waiting there as well.
So, to Lou’s family….. try not to be sad, you know Lou wouldn’t want you to be.
He will be greatly missed by family, friends.. all his community.
So, we will say ‘so long our friend, we will meet up again’
Sending much love and deepest of sympathies,
Judy & Brian McCarthy

Our condolence to the Morrissey family.
Met Lew almost 50 years ago when they lived in Moncton and he did our back yard landscaping 2 years ago, he was a hard worker.
Great story teller as my husband and I both enjoyed meeting up with him.

Oh my goodness…. I am literally lost for words! I am sending my condolences to my cousins Uncle Lou’s children! My heart hurts today…. I loved that man, he reminded me sooooooo much of my dad Bill Morrissey uncle Lou’s brother! I truly enjoyed running into him at Costco or wherever in my travels! He showed so much concern when my daughter had a severe car accident in 2017 uncle Lou was there for me and my daughter his great niece! I really wish we had more time together! Love you forever and always Uncle Lou!! Please give my mom and dad a big hug and kiss for me! Until we meet again on the other side my sweet dear Uncle you’ll be DEARLY MISSED by soooooooooo MANY!!! Love your niece Dawn Marie Morrissey

Lou was a great guy. I’ll miss him. I saw him at Sobey’s just a couple weeks ago, and he said to tell my dad hi from ‘old Lou’. They were less than 5 years apart in age.
I’ll think of him often, since he delivered garden soil and bark mulch for me pretty much every year. I’d always phone to see if he was still doing deliveries. He delivered soil to me just in October and was talking about knee replacement surgery. I hopped up on the bumper to rake down last of the soil myself, rather than let him do that. We always had a good chat.
I wish his children, grand children, and close friends peace.

I was so saddened to hear Lou passed. He was a great friend to Lorne and myself. Actually, he was our best man in 1968! I could count on Lou for his visits and phone calls to me after Lorne passed. I loved his little poems and diddleies as he called them! He always made me laugh! He is with Bev now whom he missed so much! My condolences to his family! RIP Lou!

To the family and friends of this wonderful man , firstly I am so saddened to hear about his passing . I was lucky enough to meet him last year at the place I worked ( gas station) . He had that something about him as if you felt like you’ve known him a lifetime. As I was going through my breast cancer treatment he was so uplifting and encouraging. I always had a treat ready for him after 8 was his favourite from me . We always had conversations about anything and everything . I offered to help him while he had surgery even though he had others ( his children) etc to help him . I gave him my number said you know where I am if you need me. Thank you god for blessing this world with a man like him .
I recently lost my father so I know you’re pain and the words I offer is
Just because he’s no longer physically here , he lives on throughout his children and grandchildren ( all his family) . When you miss him look in the mirror he’s looking right back ! His love and memories will surround you always
My deepest condolences
