Obituary of John Percy William Hatt

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We, the family of Johnny Hatt, sadly announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather on November9, 2023. Johny was born on November 6, 1965, to Dorothy Hatt (Peach) and the late John Hatt. Most of Johnny’s life was spent in the woods with his father and brothers. This is something he was always passionate about. In recent years, he was an employee of the Deep Cove Aqua Farms but also didn’t miss an opportunity to spend time in his beloved woods. In his free time, you could find Johnny spending time with his family, camping and hanging out with his second love – his Camero. Johnny was a friend to everyone he met. He was also known in the community as “Bones” and “Fever”. If anyone needed a hand, they could always count on Johnny. He was a long-standing member of the Chester Basin Volunteer Fire Department, another passionate interest. Johnny is survived by his loving family – wife, Jen; children, Adrienne (Robbie Bennett) and Myles. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Smuck; and brothers, Donnie and Greg. He leaves behind nieces, Michelle and Harley; and nephews, Gregory, Matthew, Nathan, Andrew and Jackson. Johnny is sadly missed by grandchildren, Riley, Spencer, Mollie and Waylon. He is also survived by estranged daughter Mallory. Johhny will also be missed by many close friends. Johnny is predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents; father, John Hatt; and son, Spencer. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations in Johnny’s memory can be made to Chester Basin Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
