I was very saddened to learn of Elaine's passing. I lived in Halifax for 26 years and have many fond memories of my time there--lots of fun and laughter with a great group of friends including Elaine and her family. She was a kind and caring woman with a great sense of humor--I can still hear that laugh!! I hope you will all find comfort and solace in the love and caring of family and friends and in your many memories of happier times. I was sorry to hear of Elaine's passing, remembering the smile and the chats we would have when I would go to Brothers before and after leaving Halifax. Many of times I pulled our friendship so that I could get an order delivered to Trenton Legion when I forgot to order for special occasions, yes she always came through with the Special Delivery at the last minute. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Another star shines over you all.

I want to send my sincere condolences to your family for the passing of you wife and mother. She was a strong person and had a long life. I remember the time she posed as my mom's sister when I was about 9 years old so that she could visit her at the hospital when she was giving birth to my youngest brother.
