Age 86, of Halifax passed away on September 30, 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Born in Filiatra, Greece in 1937, he was a son of the late Panagiotis and Toula Hatsis, moved to Canada in 1956.
Also known as Yani, John was dedicated to the hospitality industry.
Best known for his time at popular watering hole, The Green Dory, and John’s Takeout in White’s Lake, Nova Scotia.
Survived by his wife, Ipioni Hatsis of 48 years; sons, Panos and George Hatsis; sister, Rena Tsolis; grandchild, Alex Hatsis.
He was predeceased by his brother, James Hatsis.
