Dear Amber, and family
I happened to pick up an old newspaper while waiting for a concert to begin on Sunday. There I read the obituary for Roy Gannon, remembering his name as your Dad. My sincete condolences to you and yours Amber. I know how powerful your love of family is. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.
I also noted ypur Dad's prices at his grandchildren, Bailey amd Jade. They must be quite the young women by now.
My Dad died 2 years ago at age 99 and I still miss him very much.
Fondly, Verlie

Roy Gannon and I lived at the "Manning Pool" apartmentss in the north end of Halifax as kids. We attended school together at Richmond School in Grade 1X [ Miss Veinotte`s class.] I also attended anumber of school reunions which Roy enjoyed organizing .We played together on the Richmpnd School basketball team when Roy was Captain .
I can recall a time many years ago [around 1950 or 51 ] when I took my very first bicycle ride.[age 10 or 11]
Roy`s mother lent me his new bike not knowing that I had never ridden a bike . Shortly afterwards I ran the bike off the road and into the ditch .I promptly gave it back to Roy`s mother hoping that I didn`t damage it too much .
I always enjoyed my conversations with and will truly miss him. May he Rest in Peace ! My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time .
