Obituary of Joy Wiseman

Family and friends would like to announce the passing of Joy (Bette) Wiseman of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on September 29, 2023.
Born in Bathurst New Brunswick in 1961, Joy was the daughter of the late Sprague Wiseman & Bette Wiseman (Graham).
Besides her mother, she is survived by siblings, Graham (Nancy), Joey (Shelley), Donna (Donald), Holly (Randy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, two aunts, and many cousins. She will be greatly missed by her two kitty fur babies Coal and Charlie.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, George and Hannah; maternal grandparents, Gordon and Imogene; her baby brother and her nephew Trevor Wiseman.
Joy was a 1979 graduate from Bathurst High School and moved to Toronto to begin her career in finance and accounting. Joy’s biggest accomplishment was returning to New Brunswick to further her studies at NBCC in the Business Administration program and Risk Management Insurance. She was a member of NBCC alumni as well as member of the National Payroll Association. After graduation, she moved to Dartmouth and joined ADP Canada. Joy was promoted to Implementation Compliance where she excelled. She routinely went the extra
mile for global clients. Joy’s interests included kayaking, biking, swimming, knitting, and cooking.

Joy would also extend a very special thank you to her friends Marg and John; Aunt Irma; Jackie; Tony; Mary, John and Monica; Maisie; Diane; Nancy; Wanda and Dave; Leslie and Jennifer who all provided support, visits, food, shopping, and a listening ear on days that she was not at her best. Joy extends thank-you to her manager Stephen Boon and work family in Halifax, Montreal, and Toronto.
