Years ago we knew Mary Susan only as a fellow parishioner at St. Mary's Basilica. It was a wonderful surprise to enter an NSBI Christmas reception in 2009 or 2010 and see her familiar, smiling face as she greeted each arriving guest. We had become friends with her sister Anne and niece Lindsay, recognizing the strong family bonds, faith and dedicated community service that characterized them. Deepest condolences on the loss of someone who was such an important part of your family.

Condolences to the family. I worked with Mary Susan for many years and always enjoyed her positive upbeat attitude. Although I was not into hockey like her we could still carry on a sports conversation. She was a sweet and caring person.

My husband, David Duggan, worked for many years with Mary Susan at NSBI until his retirement. They were close friends there and kept in touch after he retired (probably "discussing" hockey...he was a Red Wings fan). She knew my children and grandchildren well through their visits to the office and at the family Christmas parties held there. After he passed she and I kept in touch occasionally online. She was a sweet person, always kind to my family and I enjoyed the times we shared.
You are blessed to have been a witness to her life and your memories of good times will carry you through this hard time.
God bless you all.
