Our heartfelt condolences to all of Shirley’s family and friends and her long time Neville Street neighbours. She is our newest Angel. A warm and beautiful person in life with a smile of gold. Shirley was a wonderful person. She was always so gracious and beautiful. I have many wonderful memories of being there daily on route to school with Michele. Many weekend nights Michele and I were at the foot of her bed watching a movie eating delicious treats that she prepared. Her tv was always in her bedroom which I thought was the coolest! In all my visits back to Cape Breton I always met Shirley either at her home or church and of course that warmth and smile were front and centre. Rest in peace Shirley

She was truly the sweetest lady and best neighbour. She never failed to make our family feel apart of hers. I’ll never forget the personalized treat bags with her famous fudge or the times i would show up in her porch borrowing books about birds. Getting to take care of her during my time at Seaview was such a privilege and I looked forward to seeing her everyday. Deepest condolences to her entire family ❤️
