Ursula and Family, Please accept our most sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Mike will be missed immensely. We have so many fond memories of Mike coming over to our Dog Club (Fundy Schutzhund Club). Whether he was here for training and showing his much-loved dogs or telling jokes and playing his guitar around the campfire. He was such a kind soul with a big heart. Rest in peace Mike.

Dear Michelle, Dave, Maegan (and Ursula and Patrick and everyone else); as Dave knows, I too knew Bulldog - often “from the other side of the table” at work, and it all stays with me to this day, how much I learned from (and genuinely liked!) him. He is so well respected - his character and principles were constant and always persevered - and is why everyone who knew him at work (and in the community) were drawn to him. He and I actually discovered during a meeting about “other stuff”, that we share close lineage - imagine that (!?), random MacDonald’s from the North Side and Reserve, sharing a grand/great-grand-father aka Red Vincent. I feel very, very lucky to have known Mike - please know that me and so many at NSP feel deeply your pain in losing him. Take good care all of you. Big hugs. ~Lia

I was saddened to read Mike's obituary this morning. I work with Mike for many years at the Lingan power plant, followed by many years, as part of a team, that negotiated several contracts as well as resolving many union/management issues. Mike was always sincere, professional, honest and fair during these times. I often think about these times during my retirement. I offer my sincere condolences to Ursula and the rest of the family. I will always remember the many memorable hours I spent with Mike.

I first met Mike, Bulldog, when I was working for the IBEW 1928 and right from the start I knew he just wanted to do what was best for the members, a trait I really admired in him. Mike and I didn’t agree a lot of the time but I thought we are trying to do the best for the members, in the end Mike’s ideas won more battles than mine but that’s alright because I knew where his heart was and remained until he retired. Thanks for being a caring person who always bragged up his family. I was sad to hear of his passing and my condolences to all his family. We are so sad to loose such a great neighbour. Our countless talks about unions and who had the best lawn will never be forgotten. Mike had a huge heart and always had time for a chat or helping us with a welding job. He will truly be missed and cutting the lawn will never be the same without our friendly lawn competition.
