Obituary of Patrick Frank Fennell

Patrick Frank Fennell, age 54 of Upper Tantallon, passed away on September 12, 2023 at Halifax infirmary. Born in North Sydney Nova Scotia he was the son of Frank (Brenda) Fennell and Joanne Fennell. Patrick graduated from UCCB with his Bachelor of Business Administration degree after high school. He was always a hard worker and worked full-time in the flooring industry during his studies. He eventually opened his own store, Fennell Flooring, and was so proud. Later in life, like so many Cape Bretoners, he had to move away. First to Truro, then to Halifax, where he worked at Kent Building Supplies for many years. Pat loved to travel with his wife, Anna, and always enjoyed trying new restaurants to indulge his love of fine food. He is survived by his wife, Anna Fennell of 15 years; brother, William Fennell (Danielle); nephew, Owen; niece, Olivia; uncle, Dave Fennel; aunt, Betty Retch, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Fennell; and infant nephew, Liam; aunt, Cookie Fennell. A special thank you to all the dear friends Pat and Anna have who were a great comfort to them both during his illness. Please know we appreciate all you have done. As per Pat’s wishes there will be no funeral service. There will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
