Sorry to hear about Joe. It was always a pleasure to talk to Joe and hear his great sense of humor. I remember the ball games in Colby and the golf games at Oakfield. He was a true friend that people knew they could rely on no matter the issue or the time.
We will miss him!
Kindest Regards,

Dear Marg: I believe you knew how much I loved Joe. We have been friends a very long time and I will miss him dearly. We shared so many lunches, jokes phone chats. Just last week I thought I must call Joe and set up lunch - he always liked meeting with some of us old insurance people and I wish I had done it. Sadly, I thought I would have more time to see Joe again. He was a wonderful, kind and generous man with a great sense of humour and loved by many. He was well respected in the insurance industry and definitely the go to guy on any tough appraisal. Please accept my deepest sympathy and reach out to me at any time. I will miss you forever Joe - RIP.

I first met Joe when he worked at Canavan's Appraisal Ltd. many years ago and was deeply saddened to hear of his sudden passing. He was a true gentleman and someone who treated everyone he met with respect and sincerity. He will be missed by all who knew him and on behalf of all his friends here at Marsh Adjustment Limited, we send our deepest sympathies to his loving wife Margaret, his family and large circle of friends. We have lost one of the true "good guys" of this world.

So very sorry to learn of Joe's Passing. I met joe only once or twice in Buchans during some times when we were both home. But I always felt I knew him well through my late uncle MJ "Butch" Collins (1943-2010). Attached here is a great photo of Butch and Joe "borrowing" Hayward Simms' rowboat. It was a golden era in so many ways. We pass along our thanks for great stories and memories, but also our heartfelt thoughts prayers and condolences. . .

I really got to know Poppy Joe when my son Alex and Alyssa got married. I could feel and see him going out of his way to get to know my family and make us feel like we were a part of his family. That’s who he was - always concerned about others. Rest easy Poppy Joe. You left your heart and soul on my family - thank you.

Margie and family. I will always have great memories of time spent with Joe. The many trips to White Point with the Blue Goose gang,
rounds of golf, hockey, and of special significance teammates on the Blue Goose Curling championship team in 1990. I consider myself to be very privileged to have been Joe’s friend for many
years. My thoughts are with everyone during this difficult time. Best regards, Geoff Lawlor
