Such sad news to hear of Frankie's passing. She was taken from us far too soon. Her personality was infectious with her welcoming and kind heart together with her keen sense of humour. Frankie loved to spend time with family and friends and we loved spending time with her and her family. One of her greatest joys in life was welcoming visitors into her home, enjoying a cup of tea and conversation with them. Frankie spoke her mind and you knew exactly what she was thinking because she told you. Such rare qualities we only wished we could have spent more time with her.
When she was a young child and adolescent we would visit Glace Bay and stay with her and her mother each summer. We camped in those days and Frankie would come with us. One camping trip was to Cheticamp where Frankie learned to swim. She was so proud.
As life moved along and our respective families grew, our visits became less frequent but when they occurred we so enjoyed spending time with her, Gary and family. We will certainly miss seeing Frankie baking up a storm with panties on her head and enjoying those baked goods with a hot cup of tea over some stimulating conversation including some friendly ribbing.
We love you Frankie, may you rest in peace.

Gary, Anne-Marie, Michelle, and family,
I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss of anyone and everyone who knew Frankie, and became her friend. She was one in a million. She made everyone feel welcome, whether she knew them very well or not! Her door was always open. Frankie was one of the sweetest souls I’ve met. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling at this monumental loss to your family. “Death ends a life, not a relationship. All the love created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.” (Morris Schwartz) you are in our hearts and our prayers. I will remember Frankie and her kind heart.
Sincerely,
Eileen (Morford) and Harris Martin
