MOYLES, Doreen Helen, 68, Windsor, NS, passed away on July 16, 2023, at home in Windsor, N.S.
Doreen was born in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of James and Josephine (nee Cormier) Reddick.
She was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. Doreen was a great team player for many team Broomball teams, even playing for the world’s nationals. She loved bingo and she loved to bake. Doreen loved to sew and create things. She was a “Mrs A-Fixer”. One of her most famous roles was being a grandmother, she loved all her grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by her son, James Richard Brian Desmond (Chantel); brothers, Samuel Cormier, Francis Cormier, William Reddick (Tammy), David Reddick (Betty), and Michael Cormier (Crystal); sisters, Mary Desmond, Jacqueline Reddick, and Shelby Bishop; grandchildren, MacKenzie Desmond, Kendrick Desmond, Kade Jollimore, Lucca Jollimore, Kiari Desmond, and Gionna Desmond.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Josephine Reddick; brothers, John Cormier, Michael Cormier, Jerry Cormier, James Reddick, Glen Reddick; sisters, Ardella Desmond, Winnie Lucas, Donna Ashe, Rowena Reddick, Linda Reddick, and Barbara Ann Reddick-Leavitt.
Arrangements have been entrusted to T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay (902) 849-4199 where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 28 July 2023 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
Doreen served her country well for 33.5 years. She did many tours and many commendations. She was military police – Badge number 772 and was so proud of her military trade/career.
