I am just one of many who were lucky enough to work with Kevin a couple times over the years. Though we were twenty years apart in age, our bond came through our mutual love of great music. He was incredibly kind, always the funniest man in the room, and gave the most genuine life advice. He was eternally proud of his family and girls. I did not know you, but rest assured, I knew your great accomplishments! Kevin was a true inspiration on how to live life authentically. I am incredibly sad to hear of his passing and would like to take this opportunity to send my sincerest condolences to his family and everyone who loved him. You will be greatly missed, my friend, but we were all blessed to have known you.

Oh this breaks my heart. I thought of Kevin often after leaving the hotel. Certain people make an impact on people's life and Kevin was one of them. Such a hard worker who loved his family so much. He talked about them so much I new them all by name. He will truly be missed by so many.

Kevin,
I am about to turn 50 yrs old and I can't remember a time at the bowling alley from back when you and Jim would razz the bowlers into missing the prize shots to when you stopped bowling in my league and went back to working the counter all the time with your own style and charm.
I remember as I grew I got to know you, whether that was saying hello to you whenever I came into the alley knowing how you would respond to asking how you were (I don't know if that was what you said to everyone or just me), i just knew it made me smile. Those times we would meet on the bus on the way to work you at the hotel and me at the hospital and talk about whatever came up and often about those people we worked with.
Whatever the time or location you were a good man with a kind heart, I came to consider you a friend and a valued one at that, you were a role model in what a man could be to the world around you.
I could say so much more over memories and conversations, I will instead end with this to you and your family.
Kevin, you were my friend and a good man, I wish you all the peace that you can have now that you couldn't because of the suffering you had to bare, I will miss you and I will never forget you.
Sharon and your family I wish my deepest condolences and my thoughts for you at this time and your loss of your husband, father and friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin at both the Sheraton Hotel and the Barrington Hotel. He was a great man and will truly be missed. He always knew the right thing to say to lift your spirits. I would always ask him how's your day going my friend", his response was, don't call me friend I don't have any friends". Lol, and then continue to tell me how it was going and of course take the opportunity to tell me a joke. He was one of the best.❤️ Nicole Mauger

So sorry for your loss. Our lunch hours were never the same after Kevin left the Hotel. Kevin always had good jokes and stories for us in the Hotel cafeteria. Made us smile and laugh. Will keep his family in my prayers.

I first met Kevin 40 years ago at the bowling alley. Over the years he thought me some bowling pointers and we became good friends. We also shared interest in WWE. Always remember when CMT came to the bowling alley and Kevin made sure both him and I were in it. Now he can join up with Bernie Connolly and show him how to bowl all over again. RIP my dear friend! Sorry for your loss Sharon and family.

Very sad to hear of Kevin’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin at the then Delta Barrington Hotel. I always looked forward to our chats and he always welcomed anyone he saw with a smile. He shared a hometown with my dad, Glace Bay & I loved chatting with him, trying to figure out who we mutually may know. The classic “what’s yer fadder’s name”. May he rest in peace

I worked with Kevin for about 6 years at Delta Barrington. He always greeted me with a hug and usually a joke, too. I just told one of his jokes to a couple friends last night and wondered how he was doing. Kevin and I worked many night audit shifts together. We saw some crazy stuff! I loved when we talked about music and rolled our eyes about the same coworkers while having a ciggy break. Kevin was truly special and I send so much love to his family and everyone who knew him.

If you knew Kevin, not much more needs to be said as he was truly one of a kind! I was lucky enough to have him as part of my team, at The Barrington Hotel and would never be able to count the endless laughs we had over all of his (tastefully inappropriate) humour.
Before working at the hotel, I knew Kevin as the old guy at the bowling alley that did the best job shining our shoes as kids and giving us money for the arcade!
Nobody gave a wet kiss, quite like this guy. And the amount of pride when he talked about his wife, daughters and grand children —best kind of man.
He’ll be missed by so many ❤️

Sincere condolences to Kevin’s family. Fond memories of working with Kevin at the Delta Barrington. He was always willing to take on any task, lend a hand to anyone who needed help and always with a smile, a story and a joke or two. When I would see Kevin at work I would say “Hey Kevin, how are you today?” Guarantee it was always “terrible, thanks for asking” followed by a joke or two. Rest easy Kevin.
