My sympathy to Karen’s family. I and Karen were great friends “growing up”. We spend many days visiting each other at her home or mine in Dunvegan. I have many great memories of my visits with Karen but I will never forget the tomato soup cake that she introduced me to and the many pieces of cake we ate over the years. Karen was always a soft spoken and kind friend who will be missed.

Karen, thanks for being such a dedicated and loving partner to Lorne. And to Megann, your daughter, whom you hold precious to your heart.
And thank you for helping me heal from surgery back in 1970’s when I lived with you and Lorne. When I was so ill, you washed my clothing, washed my sheets and pillowcases, and fed me. You cared for me through this difficult time in my life. I’ll never forget you. Lorne and Megann, and families will miss you forever.

Sympathy to all the family on the untimely death of a dear sweet lady! I met Karen at pipe band competitions,as I was a Piper with the N.S. Highland Village pipe in Iona !Later in 1975/ 1976 Karen and I were among chosen band members to play in the Rose Bowl parade ,and ,as luck would have it we were roommates for this trip ! Karen was a kind, thoughtful ,caring person and she will be sorely missed by many friends and family !Sending hugs to all whom she leaves behind but know she will always be carried in your hearts ! Megan,Lorne,and family. My sincere condolences to all of you. I knew Karen way back when she sang in the choir at Sacred Heart church. In fact, she sang also at my son Matthew's christening. Her voice was so beautiful. She was a beautiful person who had a heart of gold. She will be dearly missed. God bless you all and sweet Karen may you rest in peace dear friend. Fly with the angels.
