PARTRIDGE, Russell (Rocky). June 4, 1950 – June 29, 2023.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rocky.
Dad was predeceased by his parents Donald and Hilda (Clarke) Partridge. Survived by his son, Jonathan, Daughter, Stephanie, his sister Linda (Greg) MacLeod, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
If you knew Dad, you knew he was an avid fastball player (catcher) back in the day, nothing got by him! He was always a sports fan, especially cheering on the Blue Jays and giving you endless sports trivia. He loved to cook, laugh, and was always the life of the party.
Dad started his career working as a teacher at Sir John A MacDonald High School before starting his long career with the Department of Justice (Corrections), he retired in 2014 with 34 years of service as Senior Superintendent.
Dad was a friend to many but had a group of close friends who were always by his side. His cousin, Gordie Clarke was always close by playing ball and getting into trouble. Dad enjoyed trips down south with his lifelong friend, Sean Kelly; both Gordie and Sean were by his side until the very end. Scherene, Bobby, Ricky and Nelson made his last days memorable, telling stories, sharing laughs, and eating lobster.
Dad has been cremated and a celebration of life will be taking place later this summer.
Special thank you to the nurses and physicians at the QEII, 8.2 for their kindness and support in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association. Dad, we will miss you forever and you will always be in our hearts.
