I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rocky’s passing. I met Rocky in the early 70’s at Teacher’s College. We became good friends during those years, we both had a love for all sports but hated our classes in creative dance, organization and administration and folk and square. Those were great days. I went to Brookfield to watch him catch and that started my years of catching for Springhill. I owe him for all the bruises I have today. Rocky had a strong presence everywhere he went but a soft demeanour. He was a great leader in anything he participated in. You always knew where you stood with him. His legacy will live on as long as we all share our memories of him with friends and family.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Rocky was a friend, a colleague, and eventually a neighbour. We worked together for Correctional Services. He had a good heart filled with compassion and kindness. I remember the passion he had for teaching and his talent for organizing events. Rocky would do anything for anyone. He truly was one of a kind. He loved to cook, he loved to laugh, he was a story teller and he was deeply loyal to his friends and family. My deepest condolences to all who loved him.

Our deepest condolences to the Partridge family. I played ball against and with Rocky later in life. I knew of his younger playing days. There was no better competitor, nor catcher, I have even seen or been around. A picture of SJA Fastball Team, in the late '60's, early '70's. Amazing arm from home to second. May he R.I.P

I was lucky enough to be at Teacher's College when Rocky captained our Hockey Team. What talent he didn't have he made up in his enthusiasm and dedication to leading his team on. We lost touch after he graduated but from his obituary I see he continued his life like he led our hockey team. He will be missed. Jeff Miller

Well said! The Best Catcher a Pitcher could ask for as I am sure he played for the Best Senior Teams in his day! Howie Spears for the DQ years! The Elks? Lantz? Nothing went past him! An Iron arm to second! A friend of mine put it in prospective. We were in a field and then we were in rows. Now? Which weed is picked next! Which of us will be next?

Condolences on your loss. Worked and played for and with him. Remember well the skit at the teacher’s talent show “Cinder Rocky” and him pretending to scrub the stage saying “all day long I scrub and clean”. Super awesome guy and a phenomenal athlete.
