Obituary of Arlene Marie McMullin

Please share a memory of Arlene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arlene Marie McMullin Reserve Mines (1962-2023) It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of our sister Arlene. Born in Glace Bay December 9, 1962, she is predeceased by her parents Fraser and Mary; siblings, Thomas-Joseph, Dean and Delores. Arlene was hard working, independent, fun-loving, and clever. Her trademark big laugh filled the room when she was doing what she loved best, havin' a gab with family and close friends. Arlene recently retired, settling back in Cape Breton, after having lived in Kitchener, Charlottetown, and Halifax. To paraphrase her dear friend Aisha: Arlene was not fanciful but a woman of personal style, had a palette for good food and a good yarn, never required the typical trappings of life to enjoy it, a considerate listener, and evermore a confident but modest soul. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by her friends and by her siblings Genevieve, Fraser, Deborah, Tommy, and Vernon. As per Arlene's wish, she will be laid to rest at a later date surrounded by family. Cremation will take place. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS B1A 4X2 (902-849-4199). Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com
