Obituary of Donald Hugh Murray

Donald Hugh Murray Birch Grove, NS Donald Hugh Murray of Birch Grove Road was born March 25, 1947, in Sydney, NS and suddenly passed February 4, 2023. He grew up in a large family in the town of Louisbourg and was the son of the late Jack C. Murray and Constance (MacKinnon) Kendall. Donald is predeceased by his partner of 29 years, Carol Dean who he terribly missed every day since her passing in 2020; siblings Ivana, Catherine, Sharon, Bernadette, Brenton and Aldera. He will be sadly missed by his son, Danny (Charlene); brothers: Clayton (Irma), Lyman (Lori) and sister Donelda. He will be remembered fondly by Carol’s children Gussie (Tracey), Billie Jo and Pamela (Patrick), along with many nieces and nephews and his very special friend Travis. After moving away from home to find work in Ontario, he returned to Cape Breton. He and Carol lived in Sydney and move to Birch Grove where they spent many happy years. From a young age, Donald had a love for cars, roller skating, dancing, horses, and his love for dogs was evident with Gizmo - the two were never far apart. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1 pm with Rev. Dana Feltmate presiding all taking place in T.J.
