I am so very saddened to hear this news. I had the privilege of being one of many of Joanna‘s Extended Core French teachers. I always remember her as a student with a beautiful smile, kind hearted and hardworking. Beautiful qualities.
My sincere sympathy Pauline, family and friends.
I certainly wanted to attend the service, but was away.
My thoughts and prayers were with Joanna and all who loved her.

My heart breaks, I remember when your Jo was so small. Her love for her pets, and how kind and special and wonderful she was and a joy to you and John. Words can't express....
You know she is with John and your mom and dad and they are looking after her for you and one day you will all meet again. One day, one hour at a time. You know she was loved and touched the heart of anyone who met her. May God give you strength to carry this heavy burden of loss.

Pauline and Ian: we are so sorry to hear your beautiful Joanna has passed away. They say God gives his crosses to those he loves the most; well ,you must be at the top of his list. To lose a loved one is sad but at such a young age is heartbreaking and seems so unfair. May past memories be a source of comfort during this most difficult time. Take Care! We Care! Oh my God Pauline! We can’t believe that our sweet Joanna is gone! We loved her! She was one of the kids and we saw her often at family dinners all her life. And She got to be our GO-TO person at Lawtons. It’s very hard going in there now and we both get emotional when we talk about her. Joanna will be missed for a very very long time. There were lots of happy moments with her. Sending love and prayers to you and Ian and Devon and Scottie and Blossom and all the family. May all the good memories of Joanna get you through this painful loss. She is with her father John and they are at peace.
Lots of love and hugs

Dear Pauline, Ian, Devon, and family, I am so sorry for the passing of your darling Joanna. I first met Jo at Louise's trailer, at D&B Campground, in 2000.
I fell instantly in like with Joanna's bubbly personality and her zest for life. She had so many wonderful dreams to fulfill, and we bonded over the Montreal Canadiens. I had the distinct pleasure of visiting with Jo, during many visits at Louise's. I was absolutely in shock when i was informed of her passing. Joanna was so loved, and will truly be missed. I thank God for the wonderful memories of Joanna. May God bless each of you and give you peace and comfort of your memories of sweet Jo. Love in Christ Jesus, Bernadette MacNeil

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joanna's passing. She and I met while working at concentric. We always had fun talking about our fur babies and my son Jude along with her nieces. As of recent my son was in Ian's class last year. The last I spoke to her was in the new year. Hugs to all her family, Joanna was always one to make you smile if you were feeling down.
